About Motivate to Innovate
Social Enterprise is a way of doing business. Social enterprises are organisations that trade goods and services for social and environmental purposes and whose profits are primarily reinvested in those purposes rather than being distributed to individuals
Motivate to Innovate is a dedicated programme of learning to support and develop social entrepreneurs. Social entrepreneurs come from all walks of life.
However some individuals struggle with the term “entrepreneur” let alone a social entrepreneur. Some good examples of social entrepreneurs are Jamie Oliver the founder of the Fifteen Foundation or Tim Smith, the Founder of the Eden Project in Cornwall. Both highly motivated to create a profit but at the same time offering a social benefit to the communities they serve. The profit is certainly welcome but it’s what they do with that profit – they’ll re-invest in the business creating more opportunities for both individuals and the communities.
Motivate to Innovate is an excellent opportunity for individuals to tap into a wealth of experience from dedicated staff who will hand hold them through the process of setting up social enterprises; businesses set up to tackle a social or environmental need.
Motivate to Innovate is a 9 month learning experience supporting your business idea with up to a £6K grant to “make it happen”.
